Using barcodes is a long established way of optimising logistical processes.

The scanning of barcodes reduces the risk of mistakes, increases efficiency and can be done in various ways, for example using fixed scanners mounted along a conveyor belt, with wireless RF scanners on a PC or a mobile batch scanner for retail environments.

CaptureTech has a lot of experience in implementing barcode systems. The service we provide includes providing advice on the use of a particular type of barcode (linear or 2D), the standards (EAN, now GS1, etc), the way barcodes should be printed and how data can be processed optimally in the downstream system.

Together with the Israeli company Image ID, CaptureTech recently launched a revolutionary system called Visidot, which in less than a second can decode dozens of 2D barcodes (data matrix) on carriers like a pallet, crate or roll container.
